“For those moments when a double scoop isn’t enough,” Bravo TV, a program service of NBC Universal Cable Entertainment (deliver[ing] the best in food, fashion, beauty, design and pop culture to the most engaged, upscale and educated audience in cable) has published the “10 Most Outrageous Ice Cream Sundaes in America” and number 1 on the list is (drum roll, please)…
Ava Marie’s Mt. Monadnock Ice Cream Sundae
One sundae costs $1,000, but you can get the Mt. Monadnock for a measly $38.50. The description of this mountain of sweets reads “New Hampshire is giving Vermont (ahem, Ben & Jerry’s) a run for its money.” The sundae features your choice of five flavors, covered in hot fudge and caramel, granite chocolate rocks, and whipped cream topped with a chocolate moose (not life-sized).
Bravo TV acknowledges that “chocolate is the shop’s specialty,” but mentions that “pastries, ice cream, and ice cream cakes are all the rage, too.”
Why not make it a Mt. Monadnock day? Climb the mountain and as a reward, come in to Ava Marie’s, (bring your friends) and conquer the (now famous) Mt. Monadnock Ice Cream Sundae. It’s worth the climb.
